Shaemus Copperfield, or as he's known in town square gossip as Shaemus the Shepherd, is a 17yr old herbalist, apothecary, chemist, and in his spare time, indeed a keeper of sheep. Shaemus lives in a small cottage tucked away in the rural Cresswoven hillsides. Despite being an extremely talented physician, not many people have experienced his practice first-hand. The fact being, Shaemus wrestles with the fear of responsibility that his gifts in medicine would create for him; Cresswoven being the sorely mismanaged town that it is produces few to none in the medical field at all. To step into the light and make his talent public would place the health and wellbeing of the entire town on his shoulders. The guilt Shaemus bears for his voluntary seclusion weighs upon his heart each day; as a means of easing this guilt, he creates large assortments of medicines at his home which he sells to a distributor in the border country of Mern, under the name "Thyme for Courage." If there is one thing he doesn't conceal about himself, it's his love for silly plant and animal puns.
